Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can sometimes increase the power of a piece and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations applied.

Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is swapped for another of the same type, with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't preserve the original equipment's condition, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item, for example increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase the damage caused by weapons and melee attack and spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To make them, you need a higher level token to reroll. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays on the spot until the next successful result is repeated. This helps you not waste upgrades.

Growthstones
Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. They can also be obtained by players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click on the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be when being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After choosing the item to upgrade the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the requirements are satisfied, the user can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be upgraded in level by a specific percentage. Depending on the item's rarity, the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and will not affect the item's longevity. It's a great way for players who want to get an edge in combat but don't want to burden their wallets. Moreover players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item onto a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are many methods to get these stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. In addition, players can cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume the upgrade materials and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item an additional boost in that particular area. This process can continue until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items that have upgraded base stats display the blue icon in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components do not stack against each other, and can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component requires an amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left one is where players can place an item to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. When the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each upgrade, the base stats of the item will increase by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.
Once an item reaches the highest level, upgrades will not be available for it. When a piece of equipment attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades to that track will come with a discount.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to provide an additional effect or bonus while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
The upgrades to items allow players the ability to boost certain stats of weapons and armor that they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will differ depending on the type of item however, you'll generally require Dilithium as well as an amount of Upgrade Tokens.
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide more effects or an improved level of the item. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an item, it isn't able to be removed or replaced freely, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.
The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can improve the item's statistics.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases the base defense and adds an additional 20 percent chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Some items benefit from being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more for the fact that it lets players get the maximum amount of value from a flawless roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
If you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. This includes the type of item (either Armor or Weapon) and the tier of the item and the Upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show how close you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
